2nd XI vs Farley II, Regional 3 North West (home) July 5 '08
Am now 3 weeks behind on the match reports so can’t recall much about this game apart from Whiteparish scored 206 all out from 40.4 overs.
Malcy got 41, Chris Crew scored 31 with only one shot and Clumsy, the just in case batsman, scored another chumley with a scoop to leg.
It would appear that only the Imperial Japanese Air Force have had more Zeroes than Martin!
In reply Farley were never at the races as the rain came and halted proceedings after 31 overs with the score on 95 for 7 with Sven and Kevvie
taking 3 a piece. The only thing of note was Malcy’s death fielding as he was like a human sieve letting everything past to which Clumsy later
commented, “Malcy, you’re washed up like me!”
So, a comfortable victory for Whiteparish by 57 runs after the final 11 overs lost to the rain reduced the target to 152.
It was then back to celebrate Miguel’s 50th birthday with an 80s disco and the chance to take the piss out of Lord Harris once more.
Summary
Whiteparish 206 all out off 40.4 overs (Malcolm Noble 41, Chris Crew 31)
Farley II 95 for 7 off 31 overs (Kevvie Masterman 12-3-25-3, Mr Noisy 12-2-39-3)
